Not happy anymore

The last updates messed up my bible app on my iPhone and really bad on my iPad. Do not like not having a choice on the daily verses. There is no way to not accept it or decline it. It forces you to GET it cause if I didnt click the GET bar my screen stayed blocked/& frozen not even turning my iPad of and restarting it would not correct the problem. If it doesnt get the bugs out very soon I will delete it which will tick me off since I had no problems for 2 yrs. with is app.
